Prevention and Early Warning Page
Catholic Relief Services engages in strengthening civil society through capacity building programs with community groups and non-governmental organizations, as well as through improving living conditions around the globe. Both of these activities can be helpful in addressing the underlying causes of conflict that lead to violent conflict.
In Morocco, CRS is preventing violent conflict by incorporating conflict resolution into all of its programming areas. In West Africa, CRS supports the West Africa Network for Peace's (WANEP) Preventive Peacebuilding efforts, which include an early warning and early response network.
