CRS Partners in Cameroon
In Cameroon, Catholic Relief Services carries out programs in coordination with Catholic Church partners at the national, diocesan and parish levels. In our emergency response efforts, we also collaborate with local nongovernmental organizations, community-based groups, and various U.N. agencies including the World Food Program.
Coordinating with local partners who have an intimate knowledge and appreciation for their communities means CRS' aid goes further and is more effective. We work closely with monitoring groups that advocate for transparency and accountability in government and industry. Additionally, our community forestry projects empower local villages to control their natural resources and to reduce illegal logging by timber companies.
