Catholic Campaign for Peace in the Holy Land
The Catholic Campaign for Peace in the Holy Land is part of an unprecendented interreligious initiative. This initiative engages Jewish, Christian and Muslim religious leaders and communities in a coordinated effort to promote a just peace in the Middle East. The Catholic Campaign builds upon the ongoing efforts of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops to pursue a just peace.
The Campaign calls on diocesan bishops and Catholic leaders to partner actively with local religious leaders in the Jewish, Muslim and other Christian traditions. The goal is to create a shared commitment to the braod outlines of a just resolution of the conflict and to raise a untied voice with policy makers and the wider public.

Peace in the Holy Land Resource Guide for Catholic Educators and Parish Leaders
From the Pews to the Peace Table — Resources to Transform our Hearts and Enlighten Our Spirits
The Holy Land is a history-filled, sacred place in the middle of a terrible, modern conflict where the path to peace is too often obscured by a heavy fog of human suffering.
To understand the call for peace in the Holy Land, we must explore the desire for peace from inside our hearts, through the lens of our Catholic faith. A new and varied series of educational tools are offered as a resource to help Catholic leaders educate their communities about the Catholic Campaign for Peace in the Holy Land and to lead them to prayer and advocacy for a just solution. Highlights include:
- Social justice and education programs to foster learning, discussion, prayer and advocacy efforts on bringing peace to the Holy Land.
- Whole Community Catechesis efforts that invite intergenerational groups to learn about the Holy Land's importance to Catholics, its history and its current needs.
- Prayer experience and liturgies that awaken concern for peace and human dignity in the Holy Land.

National Interreligious Leadership Initiative for Peace in the Middle East
The crisis in the Holy Land is a political crisis; its resolution is the only path to improved humanitarian and economic well-being. As U.S. citizens we can urge our government to exercise greater leadership to revive the peace process and advance a two-state solution.
U.S. Senate Resolution 321 reaffirms the Senate's "commitment to a true and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, based on the establishment of two states, the State of Israel and Palestine, living side-by-side in peace and security, and with recognized borders."
The Senate Resolution renounces violence and terror, and cites that many years of violence and military engagement have demonstrated that armed force will not solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It calls on both Israeli and Palestinian leaders to work for peace and to refrain from "any actions that would prejudice the outcome of final status negotiations."
Working with the international community, the United States can help the Palestinians and Israelis to develop trust-building measures and pursue peaceful means to negotiate their differences, in accordance with international law and existing United Nations resolutions.
